START HERE

Start with the foundation.

Food. Fluids. Sleep. Those come first, and nothing on this site replaces them.

Then determine what needs coverage.

WORK THROUGH THE ROUTINE

Then determine what needs coverage.

Four parts of the routine, in the order they matter. Answer each one honestly for your athlete, and the products that belong will be obvious — including the ones that do not.

01

The Foundation — Nutrition Coverage

Is the athlete consistently getting the nutrition the workload requires?

Training raises the requirement. Food comes first and nothing here replaces it. But a season, a school schedule and a teenage appetite can leave real gaps — and a gap is better closed deliberately than left to chance.

02

Performance

Does the athlete need support for repeated high-intensity output?

Sprints, repeated efforts, and the back half of a long practice. Creatine monohydrate is the most studied ingredient for this job. Organizations differ on its use by athletes under 18, and that conversation belongs with a parent and a qualified professional.

03

Hydration

What are the athlete's fluid and electrolyte demands?

A heavy sweater in August two-a-days is a different problem from an indoor athlete in January. Match sodium and fluid to what is actually being lost, not to a default.

04

Recovery

Is daily protein, rest and recovery keeping pace with training?

Protein spread across the day, appropriate joint and mobility support, and sufficient sleep help athletes adapt to training demands.

RESPONSIBLE GUIDANCE

Different athletes can require different decisions.

Age and Oversight

For an athlete under 18, a parent or guardian belongs in the decision, alongside an appropriate healthcare or sports nutrition professional. We will not recommend anything for a young athlete without explaining why it belongs and how to use it.

Drug-Tested Athletes

Verify product-specific third-party certification and the requirements of your governing body before use. Do not assume certification applies unless it is stated for the specific product.

Fundamentals First

Nothing here replaces training, adequate food, hydration, sleep or recovery. Those remain the foundation. These products cover what the foundation does not.

STILL DECIDING?

See how we decide what earns a place.

Every AUREVON product has to cover a named part of the routine. Read the standard we hold products to, or review the practical guidance written for parents and athletes making the decision together.
